Cole Carlston
My name is Cole Carlston, I’m a soon to be graduate of UO’s Product Design BFA program and I’m looking forward to entering the design industry and continuing to create novel and necessary things. I have a particular interest in sportswear design, footwear design, and sustainable design. I grew up in the Northwoods of Minnesota where I discovered passions for environmentalism and sport to coincide with a deep love for making things. This combination of interests drew me toward the University of Oregon where, as aforementioned, I had the opportunity to study product design while also earning minors in sports business and environmental studies. I’m a creative problem solver who loves to fail, learn, and adapt. I love to create, and to create with prioritized considerations for how what I make will impact the planet and what the business impact will be. There are so many opportunities in the world for design to improve the lives of people and I’m looking forward to being a part of those solutions with great anticipation.
