I am Sayloren Wieche, I am an artist and designer based in Portland, OR. My jewelry and design process is based in material awareness and informed by moments and indications of use imposed by humans onto objects. I am fascinated with marks made from human use both formally, in showing the majority of wear, and aesthetically. I work with abandoned materials and reconstitute them into usable and visual objects while retaining similar ornamentation to their original forms. This way preserving the past while creating new objects of use.
